Employer Ambassadors

WHAT DOES AN AMBASSADOR DO?

EMAAN Ambassador activities can include:

·       Being the face of Apprenticeships (media, events, articles, case, web, case-studies)

·       Lending the weight of their brand to Apprenticeships by association

·       Spearheading the drive to maintain focus and engage new employers in their location, sector, supply chains to ensure EMAAN membership is representative of the geography and employment sectors

·       Offering and promoting Traineeships

·       Supporting and influencing their local LEPS on Apprenticeships and Traineeships

·       Leading Apprenticeship awards (local and national)

·       Mentoring other employers and sharing best practise including the introduction of the new Apprenticeship reforms.

·       Championing Apprenticeships in their own networks, including customers, supply chain and trade bodies

·       Supporting School and College engagement, contributing to the inspiration agenda and supporting the National Apprenticeship Services Schools support project (ASK) by accompanying ASK advisors on school visits where an employer or apprentice has been requested

·       Celebrating their Apprentices achievements and graduations

·       Helping to create a ‘buzz’ and get people talking about Apprenticeships/Traineeships using EMAAN social media Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter

·       Leading events that could promote Apprenticeships including: ApprenticeshipWeek, Brathay Challenge and supporting the Skills Show. 

Networking

MEMBERSHIP

Employers are invited to join the network for one or more of the following reasons:

​

  • Demonstrate a high commitment to Apprenticeships and/or Traineeships in their workforce

  • Have a high profile in their sector and/or geographical area

  • Represent a diverse range of sectors, including newly emerging sectors

  • Are committed to social mobility and a diverse workforce; reflecting a broad gender, ethnic and geographic mix

 

EMAAN members undertake their ambassador role (on a voluntary basis) by supporting and influencing a wide range of key stakeholders including schools, colleges, local enterprise partnerships, employers and their supply chains, trade associations and employment bodies. They champion and support marketing, publicity and events to raise awareness of apprenticeships and also mentor other employers.
